Le yoga donne de la fermeté au corps, de la clarté à l’intelligence, de la pureté au cœur » B.K.S. Iyengar.
Le Yoga n’est pas que l’entrainement du corps…Il est aussi l’entrainement du mental.
Yoga is not just about training the Body…It’s also about training the Mind
In 1997, I am taking a class at the YMCA. And at that time, I was conscious enough to understand the benefits of this 4000 year old discipline. The well-being that I felt that day was very unique and it never left me. It’s the feeling that travels in my body and mind at the end of each class. The feeling of all tensions and stress release, of deep relaxation and of renewed energy. I knew that day that I would practice yoga until my last breath. I saw in yoga the impact it could have on one’s life and I understood then the power of yoga as a tool of transformation.
Seven years of practice later, the desire to go even deeper into this ancient knowledge lead me to the Satyam School of Yoga in Montreal to attend a 564 hours of training with the yoga master Hervé Blondon. This traditional Hatha Yoga training is the foundation of my teachings. Hervé Blondon is one of those people we can call a Master, because he has dedicated his life to this discipline. The training will focus on the technical aspect of postures, but also on the physiological, psychological and energetic benefits of Yoga. I also took with him the Joyti Training on personal transformation to better assist the student in a yoga class.
From 2004 until today, I taught in different yoga centers in Montreal and gave workshops on the practice. I teach presently at the Sanctuaire in Outremont. In today’s world where we are constantly assaulted by stress, yoga is a moment for yourself, a moment to release accumulated tensions, to restore the body and replenish energy. Yoga is a good training for the body but it also trains the mind towards positive thinking and little by little transforming our life for the better.
